From Slackercentral Knowledgebase
Welcome to slackercentral.com. This page will provide you with some information to hit the ground running. The site consists of several separate subsites that all have their own purposes.
The slackercentral.com messageboard (SCMB)
The main part of the site is the SCMB. The SCMB is a messageboard where users collaborate on pretty much any topic they can dream up. To get started on the SCMB, first glance at the FAQ, then click the register link to create an account for yourself.
Once you've created an account, you'll need to click a link that will be emailed to you to activate your account. Once you've done that, you'll be ready to post. Here's a brief description of a few of the forums:
- Off Topic - Off Topic, usually referred to as OT, is the oldest and most popular forum on the SCMB. There isn't really a usual subject in OT, but rather everything that doesn't fit any other forum specifically usually ends up here. Keep an eye on OT for funny links we find on the internet, photoshop threads, and other general nonsense.
- 3dfx Refugees and Computer Discussion - Our technical forum, especially helpful if you're looking for information about PC gaming hardware. Post any computer or technology questions or comments in here.
- The Water Cooler - For discussions of anything entertainment related, including movies, television, books, music, and sports.
- The Debate Club - An area for serious discussions of more meaningful issues.
- SC Gaming Discussion - Discussion of PC and console gaming. Keep an eye on this forum for scheduled multiplayer games involving SCMB members.
There are other forums, so be sure to take a look at the main list.
The slackercentral.com knowledgebase
Also known as the SCKB, the slackercentral.com knowledgebase is the site you're looking at now. The SCKB is a wiki, meaning that anyone can create an account and create or edit pages here. Here are a few notable pages:
slackercentral.com
The main site itself is mainly a blog notifying visitors about what's happening elsewhere on the site. It's updated fairly irregularly, so you may want to subscribe to its RSS feed if you're familiar with such things.
